Equipment hire website with a rent-versus-buy threshold

A chart shows seven hire lengths at once and the point where the cost passes the price of a used machine. There the site says it outright: buy one instead.

Description

An equipment hire website that works out when hiring stops paying

A long hire is the best customer a rental yard can have: paying daily, generating no counter work, never needing chasing. Which is why nobody in the trade mentions that after forty-five days a demolition hammer has cost as much as a good second-hand one — and the customer who works that out for himself after three weeks never comes back. This site does the sum for him and draws it: seven hire lengths at once, a yellow bar for the cost and a black rule at a hundred per cent for the price of a used machine. Where the bar crosses the rule it turns red, and the chart's footer changes to "buy one, and come back to us for the kit that isn't worth owning". The threshold differs per machine — forty-five days for the hammer, eighty-eight for the mobile tower — and is derived from the real second-hand price, checked quarterly, because without that it would be invented. Volume discounts apply to the whole hire rather than to days above the threshold, so the seventh day never costs more than the eighth. The booking form tags the email "tell him to buy" when the reservation crosses the line, because that conversation has to happen at the counter and not afterwards. The look is machine livery: the yellow of construction plant used across large areas, black as the outline, zero rounding and uppercase headings like a rating plate. What stays manual is the list of equipment currently out, with return dates — the one piece of information needing attention daily.

Questions before you buy

What exactly do I get for the price?

A working website under your own domain, with a .pl domain and hosting for the first year included, SSL and a contact form. With deployment we replace the demo content with your details (name, address, phone, services, pricing, photos, logo), set up Google Maps and basic SEO, and you get 30 days of support after launch. In the basic version you fill in the content yourself. You always get a VAT invoice.

How long does it take?

Three working days from receiving your materials. You fill in a short form after payment (name, address, texts, photos, logo). Most launches happen faster.

What happens after the first year?

Hosting and the domain are included for 12 months. After that you can extend hosting with us for another year or move the website anywhere you like: it is yours, with no lock-in and no subscription.

Can I edit the website myself later?

Yes. The website is plain HTML/PHP with no CMS to break. Small text changes we do for free within the support period; later you can edit files yourself or order changes from us.
